charity shop finds..........................

While out on a quick shopping trip this morning I popped into a charity shop and found these pretty tea plates and this little tureen for only £1.

The tureen has lost its lid somewhere along the way, but that didn't bother me as I'd already decided what to do with it.  These hyacinths were in a rather boring brown plastic pot, so I carefully transferred them into the bowl, bedding them in with some extra compost and I think they look much happier in their new home!

  1. Ohhh I do love a wee bargain! Very pretty bowls and the hyacinths look very stylish.

  2. I'll probably stick some little beech twigs in to support them as they tend to get a bit floppy when they flower.

  3. Gorgeous bargains! And I can just about smell that wonderful baking. I must say I'm enjoying your blog tremendously. I hope Touzie (have I spelled it correctly?) has had no ill effects from his first "jag".

  4. Tousie seems fine and will get his second jab the week after next. He's full of beans and has just been rampaging round the garden with his sister Jip who was visiting this morning. They went to the vet together along with their father and Aunty Jeanie. Quite a family outing!
